Gen Freeform Ex 2024
Hello, Gen Freeform creator! I’m also plutonianshores on AO3, and I have several previous letters on this journal if you want to look back at what I’ve requested in past exchanges. I’m requesting fic and art for all fandoms.

- Internalized homophobia

- Accidental Baby/Child Acquisition or similar kidfic, especially characters having absolutely no idea what to do with kids if that seems IC for them
- Soulbonds – I’m more into the "proximity or magical ritual or other events causes soulbonds to form" style rather than the "fated soulmates" style, and I love soulbonds that cause the members to share emotions or thoughts or injuries or pain

Fear Street Trilogy
I really loved the way the series took place over multiple time periods, and one thing I would absolutely love from fanworks is more historical settings. I’d love to see the Goode family throughout history, or a creature/monster/legend/etc set in a non-present-day-era. So OCs are very obviously welcome, although if you’d like to set things in the times and with the characters we’ve seen, that’s also welcome! I’m also really into worldbuilding, and just getting to see more of the legends! I haven’t read any of the original Fear Street books, but if you have a favorite and you want to borrow a legend from it, go for it. I’ve picked a few tags that I think would be especially fun in this setting, plus some more generic tags for worldbuilding and historical settings.
Characters
- Solo: Creator's Choice of Goode (Fear Street)
- Solo: Creator's Choice of Shadyside Legend (Fear Street)
Freeforms
- Came Back Wrong; Then Came Back Wronger; Why Does It Keep Getting Worse
- Creating something so powerful it destroys you…literally
- Disturbing/Terrifying Hallucinations
- Ghosts
- Gratuitous Historical Detail
- Haunted Houses
- Legends & Lore
- Worldbuilding
Six of Crows – Leigh Bardugo
I really love all of these characters, and am happy for a gift focused on any/all of them! I love heists and casefic/art, I love Kaz’s elaborate revenge scheme/s in canon and would love more elaborate revenge schemes against anyone who might wrong any of the Crows post-canon, I love worldbuilding and magic and seeing the different countries and cultures in canon (and I’ve read the rest of the Grishaverse books should you wish to reference them), I love works focused on the characters’ trauma (canon gives them plenty of trauma to deal with but I’m always down for adding more in the form of rape, torture, kidnapping, injuries, or anything else).
Characters
- Group: Creator's Choice of Crows (Six of Crows)
Freeforms
- Aftermath - Character doesn't tell anyone they were tortured/raped; is found out anyway – good with either/or in terms of torture and/or rape
- Aftermath of Torture - Character trying to hold it together is clearly low-key fraying at the edges
- De-aged character is de-aged to an age that was particularly traumatic for them – many of the characters have canon traumas you can draw from, but I’m totally down for noncanon trauma as well (abuse, CSA/rape, violence, or anything else). I love when only one character is de-aged and the rest of the characters have to get this child who no longer knows who they are to trust them, and also learn or witness some uncomfortable things about their friend’s childhood
- Heist
- Rape Aftermath
- The Process of Healing From Past Trauma
Percy Jackson series – Rick Riordan
I’ve read the Heroes of Olympus and Trials of Apollo books as well as the original 5, so feel free to include events/canon from those series as well! (Or stick to just the first five books, I’m fine with that as well).
I recently reread these books for the first time since childhood, and found myself really falling in love with Paul Blofis. He’s such a good way to get a mundane/outsider POV on the world of the demigods and gods, especially the ways in which that world is fucked up. One thing I really crave from PJO fanworks is exploration of trauma, and a closer look at how Percy and other demigods must have been affected by all of the things they’ve gone through. For Percy, I’d love to see Paul helping him through this trauma and its effects (Paul is new to the world of the gods, but I’d imagine he has some experience with traumatized kids/teens from his work). For other demigods – I loved that in Trials of Apollo, Apollo’s first thought for where to go to help was the Jackson-Blofis household, and how Sally immediately started mothering Apollo’s demigod companion Meg. I’d love to see fanworks where Sally and Paul end up taking on a somewhat parental role for other demigods, whether that’s during or after canon.
Characters
- Paul Blofis & Percy Jackson (PJO)
- Paul Blofis & Sally Jackson & Creator's Choice of Demigod (PJO)
Freeforms
- adjusting to a disability – for this and the similar “permanent injury” tag, Percy and most of the demigods we meet are so dependent on their physical abilities for quests and just generally staying safe from monsters, and I imagine acquiring a new disability would be really hard to deal with for that reason
- Aftermath - Character doesn't tell anyone they were tortured/raped; is found out anyway - good with either/or in terms of torture and/or rape
- Aftermath of Canon Trauma
- Childhood Trauma
- coming to terms with permanent injury
- Hurt/Comfort - Downplaying traumatic events and/or injuries
- Mundane character learns more about magical world
- Rape Aftermath - I’m into both rape during the course of a quest/by a monster, and rape by a regular non-divinely-connected human (and for the latter, I could see Percy or another demigod getting especially self-loathing about not being able to fight the rapist off).
- What character thinks is a funny anecdote horrifies their friends &/or loved ones - you know Percy (or probably any demigod) has a lot of funny stories about times he almost died that Paul can react to like “wtf you are/were a child!”
Magnus Chase – Rick Riordan
I’m still wrapping up the final book in the trilogy, so apologies if some of my prompts are covered in the latter half of Ship of the Dead!
So I came out of this series absolutely in love with Hearth and desperate for more sign language and D/deaf-related worldbuilding. I realize the Doylistic reason that Alf Sign Language and American Sign Language are identical is for convenience, but I am fascinated by the linguistic implications. American Sign Language likely developed out of a single Deaf school in 19th century Connecticut – was there a similar scenario in Alfheim? What’s the sign language that the gods use, and how did Hearthstone learn it? Despite his resistance to actually speaking it, Hearth’s dad seems to understand ASL – did he learn it initially, and only start insisting on Hearth using the slate after Andiron’s death? When did Hearth initially learn ASL, and the sign language of the gods we see him use? What’s Deaf culture like in Alfheim, or in other worlds?
Characters
- Solo: Hearthstone (Magnus Chase)
Freeforms
- learning new languages
- Magnus Chase - Deaf Culture & Sign Languages in the Nine Realms
The Hunger Games
I’ve read Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes - feel free to use or discard canon from that in your gift.
I’ve requested all of the nommed characters as I really do enjoy all of them, and I’m happy to see any of them in fanworks featuring my requested tags! Please forgive me for not having character- or relationship-specific prompts.
I have such a craving for Victors-related worldbuilding. The angst potential of post-Games life is off the charts – you’re forced to fight to the death, and then when you win you’re tied to the Games and the Capitol forever and forced to perform as one of Snow’s pet celebrities. I want to see more of what’s expected of the Victors, and I’d also be really into canon divergence AUs where Katniss and Peeta end up spending more time with the other Victors and/or in the Capitol than we actually get in Catching Fire. I also really love the concept of Victors having to have sex with Capitol citizens who are willing to pay, and would love some fanworks going off of that. And anything about Victors dealing with the physical and mental trauma of the Games is great. I’m also really into worldbuilding in general – I’d love to see more of the Districts, more of how the Games and the role of the Victors have developed over the years, more of how the economy and politics work. And as it’s somewhat relevant to the exchange theme – I’m down for any characters being any sexuality, but I’m especially fond of aromantic (but not necessarily asexual) Katniss and the way that would intersect with her having to perform romance with Peeta during and after the Games.

The Terror (TV)
Going for a doctor-themed request here. I am very into my requested characters having to deal with resurrected characters/characters who Came Back Wrong, the aftermath of an on-board rape, injuries and mental troubles in general, or their own injuries. Feel free to get gory, and/or down in the weeds of Victorian medical care.

Stranger Things
I am so into the idea of Billy not dying, or perhaps being resurrected, after the events of season 3, and Max having this complicated relationship with her abusive stepbrother who nonetheless saved her, and is perhaps now very injured and/or dealing with a hard recovery. Where do they go from there? I’d also be interested in how the events of season 4 would change with a living Billy. I’m also very into Billy dealing with permanent injury/disability/trauma due to injuries from his final fight. (The only thing I really don’t want is something with Max using Billy’s new injuries/disability/etc as a way to “turn the tables” and torment him). Mood music: Dessa’s “The Lamb”.
