Fuck up the player characters! Guest PCs also welcome. Any ships or friendships also welcome. I really do love every single character, so feel free to pick your fave/s. I love seeing how serious injuries interact with D&D healing magic mechanics, and would love to see any of our healers fixing up an injured character (including themselves). Setting any of the canon antagonists or OC bad guys on your character/s of choice is great! If you pick a non-human character for your gore, I love seeing how xeno anatomy might play into their injuries (Horn or tail trauma? Xeno genitals? Different colored blood? What does 'gore' look like for a robot character?) I also love resurrecting sex AUs, where someone (or perhaps the whole party!) has to fuck a dead character to bring them back to life For Reasons. (Imagine an AU where the somatic component of resurrection spells is fucking the dead character….sssssh no logic only resurrecting sex.)

*Slaps The Terror* This canon can fit so much weird gore in it. There are lots of canonical incidents and injuries to jump off of, or create something new! Mutineer Trash Party scenarios are always great, as is the aftermath of Hickey's flogging. Love me some cannibalism, with the mutineers or the other sailors. If you're into the doctors, I'd love some medical gore! Scurvy reopening old wounds is a gift for gore works. Feel free to get very gnarly with infected wounds. Tuunbaq bestiality very welcome. I love AUs where your favorite ship or gen ship are the only two/three/etc characters to survive, and having to deal with serious wounds while surviving in the Arctic could be great fun.

Also, off-the-wall art-specific prompt: have you seen True Detective: Night Country? Did you also aesthetically enjoy the corpse at the end of episode 1? (Hyperlink goes to an article headed by an image of a TV-show frozen corpse). I was struck by a desire to see any of the Terror lads in a similar Boschian frozen lump, but alas, I cannot draw, and I figured if any exchange had the potential to draw the attention of an artist who wants to draw some frozen corpses, it was this one.

Tortall – Tamora Pierce

Gore types:

Switching things up and doing individual character prompts for this one! But a few general thoughts first. I didn't get into the Tortall books as a kid because they had too much romance and not enough torture, and I would only put up with love stories if there were enough gory bits to satisfy my inner sadist. Revisiting them as an adult with more of a fondness for canon romance, I enjoyed them a lot more, but do still long for more torture. And this is the perfect chance to request it! Feel free to go into more detail about canon incidents and injuries, or add new ways in which to fuck up our faves. Any friendships or ships welcome, with a special fondness for queer and/or poly ships. Also I love when people add more trans characters to the series (genderqueer Alanna my beloved), so feel free to go wild in that direction, or not as you so choose.

• Solo: Alanna the Lioness (Tortall) – so many opportunities for Alanna to be injured in battle, so many opportunities for delicious battlefield medicine. Also remember when Alanna got captured by the enemy and then rescued almost right away? What if...she got tortured first...Or honestly anyone else could torture her too, I love to see my faves tortured. Also, weird trippy gore set in the Chamber of the Ordeal?


• Solo: Keladry of Mindelan (Tortall) – again, love war injuries and battlefield medicine, and the potential the Chamber of the Ordeal holds for weird trippy gore. Also, remember when that centaur Kel met said he should breed her and that she'd probably be able to carry a centaur baby to term without dying? What if...centaur rape...(I would prefer she either not get pregnant or that she is able to obtain an abortion though, not wild on carrying centaur pregnancy to term)


• Solo: Veralidaine Sarrasri (Tortall) – Regular war injuries, as always, welcome! I also love the potential for injury and interesting gore that her shapeshifting holds. Would love to see her injured in one form and having that injury follow her back to her human form, or an injury to a body part she doesn't have as a human trapping her in a half-shifted state until it's treated. Also, very into magic doing weird shit to people and magic-based gore.


• Solo: Numair Salmalín (Tortall) - War injuries great, injuries in bird form great (either staying in bird form, or those injuries carrying over to human form), magic-based gore great. I am also very fond of Ozorne torturing Numair


• Solo: Thom of Trebond (Tortall) – I would be very into Thom's magical experiments doing Weird Shit to him. Magic making your bones break or your skin melt or your body change in fucked-up ways, super fun! Resurrection magic making Thom's body start to decay, also super fun! Regular non-magic gore happening to Thom also very welcome!

So in essence I have thrown Jean, Neil, and everyone who canonically tortures them into the pool here. Pick your fave antagonist/s and fuck Neil and/or Jean up! I am so in love with the brutality of the Nest and all of the damage we see inflicted on Jean and on Neil, and how Jean has been conditioned to believe he deserves it. If you're like, "surely there's already been enough fanworks devoted to Jean's canonical rapes and injuries, or Neil's weeks in the Nest" – there absolutely can never be enough for me. But if you would like to stray beyond the bounds of what canon showed us, or move to an AU that gives novel opportunities for fucking Jean and Neil up (I'm particularly fond of the Nest as Fairyland, myself), that is also welcome!

And then Nathan and Lola. Love the canon Neil whump and injuries we get, would love to see those canon injuries described or illustrated in loving and gory detail. I don't have many more thoughts than that, just go wild!

For everything, this is even more optional than the rest of my thoughts, but I am very into the long-term aftermath of the injuries we see in canon, and would love to see Neil and especially Jean dealing with chronic pain and other aftermath of their injuries.
